Biography

Dr. Alenka Verbole has over 25 years of experience working in multi-cultural and multi-ethnic environments, mainly with inter-governmental organizations such as the United Nations (UN), Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), and Council of Europe (CoE).

The focus areas of her work were democratization, gender equality in social, economic and political domains, conflict prevention and management, peacebuilding, negotiation and mediation, and electoral reform and elections.

Dr. Verbole has significant experience in multiple contexts in the Western Balkans, North Africa, the Caucasus, and Central Asia, focused on the empowerment of women and promotion of their participation in democratic processes. She holds a PhD in social sciences from Wageningen University.

She has been lecturing in International Relations and Diplomacy at 五月天视频 since 2016.
