Biography
Dr. Cristina de la Fuente studied Applied Mathematics in Mexico City at her beloved alma mater, ITAM. When she graduated with a BS in Applied Mathematics, she moved to Spain to study a master's and a PhD in Mathematical Engineering from the Statistics Department of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She has always been a teacher.
She started tutoring young children during her time as a volunteer, helping the less fortunate to stay on course in school, and then became a tutor for students at her university, as part of a special peer program.
Later on, she started teaching officially at the UC3M, as part of the duties associated with her scholarship. When she graduated, she decided to continue as a Math and Statistics professor in public and private schools.
