With over 25 years of experience in financial communication and sustainability, Emilio spent the majority of his professional career at Telefónica, initially in the Investor Relations department and later as part of the Sustainability leadership team.  

Currently, he works as a Senior Consultant at Sigma Rocket, advising publicly listed companies, and as Director of the Master’s in Sustainability at ÎåÔÂÌìÊÓƵ.  

Emilio is a firm believer—both in theory and practicing the business value of ESG, its social and environmental impact, and its role in driving operational advantages and improving companies’ access to financial markets.  

He trains students in the latest corporate sustainability practices across all three dimensions: social, environmental, and governance for all stakeholders. He does so in collaboration with the United Nations agency UNITAR. 

Extra Involvement: Senior consultant for publicly traded companies on sustainability communication to financial markets in various sectors: textiles, real estate, tourism, new technologies.
