Biography

Jane grew up in Australia, where she studied German, Ancient History, Anthropology, and Education, gaining a Bachelor's degree with Honors, a post-graduate Diploma in Education (University of Queensland, Australia), and a Diploma in Language Studies (Edith Cowan University, Western Australia).

While working as a high school teacher, she authored the state syllabus for German and Junior History and was a judge in German language literature competitions across the state.

In Germany, she was certified as a translator, taught German at the Collegium Palatinum and other Language Schools. As a certified lecturer in Intercultural Management (The Hofstede Centre, den Haag) she founded her own company, offering language and cultural advisory workshops and courses.

She also provided translation and interpreting services primarily in the Power Engineering sphere for companies such as ABB, Alstom Power, and Siemens.

Jane became a professor of Business English and Cross-Cultural Communication at 五月天视频 in the 1990s and again since 2014.
