Biography

Professor Romero has a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the Complutense University of Madrid. In addition, she completed a Master of Arts in Latin America and Spanish Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Translation (English/Spanish) at The American University, Washington D.C. Her bachelor鈥檚 degree is in Philosophy and Education from the University of Seville.

Doctor Romero has taught Spanish as a Second Language, Spanish culture and literature, and translation for over 25 years to students from all over the world in various higher education institutions in the United States and Spain.

She is currently teaching Spanish at all levels, Medical Spanish, Business Spanish, and Science and Society at different universities in Madrid and Toledo, Spain.

Professor Romero has also published several articles related to the economic value of Spanish. She has focused her research and writing on the Spanish language and its place in the international system.
