Biography
Michael Schuetz is a legal practitioner specializing in human rights, international law, and rule of law reform.
He has worked with organizations such as the United Nations and the OSCE on legal development and institutional reform across Europe, Asia, and Africa. His experience includes policy development, legislative reform, and capacity building in post-conflict and transitional settings.
Alongside his legal work, for several years he has taught graduate and undergraduate level courses and has led trainings for professionals in peacekeeping and justice sector development.
Michael teaches courses in international public law, international business law, international relations, general law, and legal theory. He is particularly interested in the role of law in advancing justice across diverse legal and political systems. His classes emphasize applied case studies, comparative legal traditions, and the connection between legal frameworks and global challenges.
